Job Description :
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Medical Assistant to join our dermatology office. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing support to our dermatologists, nurses, and other medical staff.
You will assist in delivering high-quality patient care, performing various clinical tasks, and ensuring smooth clinic operations.
APPLICANT MUST HAVE MEDICAL OFFICE EXPERIENCE. .
Responsibilities :
- Assist dermatologists and nurses in patient examinations, treatments, and procedures.
- Prepare examination rooms with necessary supplies and equipment.
- Escort patients to examination rooms and obtain their medical history, including current medications and allergies.
- Perform basic dermatological procedures under the supervision of medical professionals, such as wound care, suture removal, and sample collection.
- Prepare and organize medical instruments, equipment, and supplies for procedures.
- Educate patients on skincare regimens, medication instructions, and post-treatment care.
- Sterilize and maintain medical instruments and equipment.
- Follow proper infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Assist in managing inventory and ordering supplies as needed.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure efficient and coordinated patient care.
Requirements :
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience working as a Medical Assistant, preferably in a dermatology or specialty clinic.
- Solid knowledge of dermatology procedures, medical terminology, and basic clinical skills.
- Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems and computer applications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide compassionate care to patients.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy.
