Senior Accountant

Jana Chapman with Robert Half is looking for a highly skilled senior accountant to join our team in Lake Oswego, Oregon. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in public accounting and a solid background in audit processes. This role requires someone who is detail oriented and excels in financial reporting and reconciliation while maintaining compliance with accounting standards.

Responsibilities

Manage month-end close procedures to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to ensure all transactions are recorded correctly.

Prepare and post journal entries while adhering to accounting principles and guidelines.

Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies to maintain accurate financial data.

Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure proper documentation and alignment with financial records.

Collaborate with auditors to support and facilitate audit processes.

Utilize Odoo or similar accounting tools to streamline financial operations.

Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal controls in all accounting activities.

Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights.

Prepare detailed reports for management to support decision-making processes.

Requirements - Minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting, preferably with audit exposure in Big Four or regional firms.

CPA certification is required to demonstrate advanced knowledge of accounting principles.

Proficiency in month-end close processes and general ledger management.

Strong skills in preparing journal entries and performing account reconciliations.

Experience with bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records.

Familiarity with Odoo or similar accounting software is preferred.

Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.

Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with auditors and team members.
