Job Description

This position will be in charge of scheduling multiple paper mills that supply internal and external customers.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Schedule paper mill production machines in the most effective and efficient ways possible and work directly with mill managers to adjust schedules accordingly.
  • Manage multiple internal corrugator plant inventory levels.
  • Conduct scheduling meetings with various staff members to explain shipping deadlines, existing and/or new orders, and any outstanding issues or problems.
  • Manage project as assigned by management.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Additional duties as assigned by management.

Work in an office environment (4004 Summit Blvd NE, Atlanta GA) 5 days a week until fully trained (likely 12 months). Option to work from home 3 days p/week to be reviewed after 4 months

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Previous experience in a scheduling department and/or box plant operation
  • Candidates are PREFERRED who offer the following:
  • Previous experience in a paper mill scheduling department and/or corrugator or box plant operations

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret production reports
  • Ability to write business reports and correspondence
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, employees, and outside company officials

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts related to production scheduling as well as rates, ratios, percentages, discounts, interest, costs, proportions, percentages, area, and volume
  • Ability to add, subtract, and divide in all units of measure

REASONING ABILITY

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions and measurements furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Ability to make multiple decisions that are cost effective

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Computer data entry
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Must have ability to navigate/operate multiple computer systems that relate to Mill scheduling and the corrugated business operations

ADDITIONAL SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work alone

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position has the possibility of working from a home office or a Pratt facility depending on location. If working from a home office, a stable internet connection is required.
