Sr. Solution Consultant - Financials - Retail and Hospitality

About the Role

Workday is looking for a Solution Consultant with Financial Management / ERP expertise, to join our Retail and Hospitality Solution Consulting team.

As a member of our strategic team of Solution Consulting team, you will be the face of Workday Financials and solutions to our prospective customers in the Retail and Hospitality space.

You will engage prospective customers as a key member of the sales team, responsible for leading discovery calls, collaborative product solution development and delivery of compelling product demonstrations.

You will use your industry and finance knowledge, polished presentation skills, and collaborative sales team experience to articulate the differentiated value of the Workday solution, rapidly growing the adoption of Software as a Service (SaaS) in the Retail and Hospitality space

Responsibilities include :

The delivery of relevant technical product presentations, demonstrations, workshops, and seminars.

To assist in the closure of sales opportunities by demonstrating a complete understanding of and resolving questions regarding our solution, services, and training.

To contribute to the qualification of prospects, proposed demonstration criteria, proof of concept system builds and sales cycle closure plans.

Supporting all sales, marketing, technical and channel objectives.

To assist sales in the response to RFIs

Ability to travel 50%

About You

Basic Qualifications - Sr. Solution Consultant :

• 7+ years of extensive financial domain expertise, including 3+ years working with core accounting concepts (GL, AR, AP, Fixed Assets, Cash Management), as well as industry relevant topics such as project accounting
• 5+ years of business experience with relevant cloud-based financial management applications (e.g., Workday, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Zuora, SAP, Oracle, etc.)

Basic Qualifications - Solution Consultant :

• 5+ years of extensive financial domain expertise, including 1+ years working with core accounting concepts (GL, AR, AP, Fixed Assets, Cash Management), as well as industry relevant topics such as project accounting
• 3+ years of business experience with relevant cloud-based financial management applications (e.g., Workday, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Zuora, SAP, Oracle, etc.)

Other Qualifications :

• CPA preferred
• Presales, implementations and consulting experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, AND / OR equivalent work experience
• Experience in financial management within Retail and Hospitality or Diversified Industries, a plus
• Ability to work on multiple projects individually as well as working cross-functionally
• Exceptional and dynamic presentation & communication skills
• Outstanding professional discovery, presentation, communication, and influencing skills to C-Level Executives, talking to and selling to the office of the CFO specifically.
• Experience presenting cloud-based solutions to both functional and technical audiences and experience with value-based selling, a plus

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location.

As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission / bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.
