Corporate Insurance Risk Management Supervisor
Supervise Global Business Center Corporate Insurance team. Administer the risk finance aspects of the Corporate Insurance Risk Management department, reporting, trending analytics, budget, accounting, insurance renewals and administration. Utilize data analytics from various systems internal and external to improve data reporting, trending for internal reporting, budget and accounting. This position manages staff to achieve the goals of providing timely, reliable, and actionable data to healthcare operators in the form of clinical and performance analytics as well as ensuring timely and accurate data submission to regulatory agencies.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and update commercial insurance information, including renewing coverage and pulling accurate policy data and reports, as needed.
- Develop and streamline Tenet's standardized measures and approach to systematically monitor hospitals' clinical outcomes, patient safety and performance results
- Remain apprised of regulatory measure specification changes, update internal measure specifications in order to meet national standards
- Partner with hospital operators to ensure that data submissions to external regulatory bodies are performed accurately and in a timely manner
- Create and enhance user interface and report / dashboard displays to enable user adoption, interpretation and translation into actions by operators
- Clearly and effectively communicate analysis and recommendations to operators. Train and educate operators to understand and effectively use reports and dashboards.
- Identify the most efficient data sources, manage data integrity, develop statistical algorithms and perform various analyses utilizing large databases
- Define and support analytics strategies with senior clinical and operational leaders as well as collaborate with leadership across enterprise Data & Analytics teams
- Manage and develop staff team members Accomplish team results by clearly communicating expectations, effectively planning team goals, and developing and supporting staff
- Manage projects end-to-end, including problem solving approach, developing and executing against a project plan and engaging team members and stakeholders effectively
- Participate in team effort to accomplish other key deliverables as needed
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with 5+ years' experience required.Clinical and / or healthcare background preferredProficiency in Tableau and / or other data visualization tools (such as Cognos).Experience with statistical and report writing tools (such as SQL or SAS)Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point and Visio)Strategic planning, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with ability to focus on detailsStrong communications skillsDemonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environmentAbility to work independently or collaboratively in a team setting.
