Payroll Specialist
Join our dynamic team as a Payroll Specialist, where you'll play a strategic role in managing payroll operations for over 10,000 employees across all 50 states. This position ensures the accurate and compliant processing of employee data in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on data integrity, SOX compliance, and seamless integration with third-party systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Support biweekly (hourly) and semi-monthly (salaried) payroll cycles for 10,000+ employees, including cross-training to ensure coverage and continuity.
- Assist in testing and implementing the UltiPro Payroll system to enhance payroll processing efficiency.
- Provide backup support for time and attendance functions using UltiPro Time and Attendance (UTA).
- Drive timely timecard approvals by managers and generate compliance reports for leadership.
- Serve as the first point of contact for payroll inquiries via ServiceNow, resolving employee questions and processing errors.
- Reconcile and transfer data to support funding for employee benefits including 401(k), HSA, FSA, and other vendor-managed programs.
- Process Verification of Employment (VOE) requests and contribute to the development of this function.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, SOX requirements, and federal / state payroll regulations.
- Maintain accurate and compliant documentation in accordance with company policies and legal standards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the payroll department.
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll, timekeeping, or a related field.Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.Excellent verbal and written communication skills across all organizational levels.Proven ability to meet deadlines and follow through on tasks and issues.Experience with Ultimate Software (UltiPro) is a plus.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.Job Type & Location

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
