2026 - Tax Intern, San Francisco

We're seeking someone who's curious, detail-oriented, and excited to learn how a modern tax department operates from the inside out. As a MongoDB Tax Intern, you'll get hands-on experience with US tax return schedules, international tax forms, preparing information for audits, gathering accounting data, updating agreements, and booking journal entries. You will also collaborate with the worldwide tax department and along with collaborating with teams like payroll, accounting, stock administration, etc... all while building a strong foundation in corporate tax.

What we are looking for in you

In the process of receiving a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field.

Have a foundation with tax concepts or tax coursework, strong Excel skills, and a curiosity to explore a career in tax.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively via Slack and other tools.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.

Eagerness to learn and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.

Have a minimum of one quarter / semester remaining in university studies after the internship concludes. Graduation date in Fall 2026 or Spring 2027

MongoDB internships are full-time (40 hours / week) for 10 consecutive weeks lasting from dates in June until August. All interns are considered hybrid employees, designated the "in office" working model and are expected to be in their office location 3-5 days a week.

MongoDB's base salary range for this role is posted below. Compensation at the time of offer is unique to each candidate and based on a variety of factors such as skill set, experience, qualifications, and work location. Salary is one part of MongoDB's total compensation and benefits package.
