Professor Amber Spry seeks a graduate research assistant with experience in quantitative data analysis to support a project on social group identity in United States politics. The RA will assist with preliminary data analysis for a survey experiment measuring the impact of identity (race, gender, ideology, religion) on political attitudes and behaviors. The RA should be skilled in data analysis and able to perform tasks such as data visualization, creating tables and figures, multivariate regression analysis, other advanced forms of quantitative analysis, and data manipulation in R. The RA may also assist with writing literature reviews for publications related to the project, and should possess basic knowledge of causal inference and intergroup behavior in United States politics. This project will be of interest to graduate students whose work engages political science, identity politics, gender and women's studies, and related disciplines.
This opportunity is for remote work and will involve occasional zoom meetings, but the RA will not be required to work from location on the Brandeis campus.
