PAYROLL TECHNICIAN

Job Overview

Under the general direction of the Payroll Processing Supervisor the incumbent prepares and processes weekly and bi-weekly payrolls, leave accruals and union reports for Chugach Government Solutions LLC subsidiaries.

Work Model : In-Office

Responsibilities

Essential Duties & Job Functions :

• Processes assigned payrolls accurately and timely. Accountable for following payroll log and payroll manual.
• Processes maintenance in a timely manner for assigned payrolls.
• Maintains open communication with sites on changes and deadlines.
• Maintains communication with supervisor regarding receipt of timesheet submission, original timesheet issues, site concerns and pay issues.
• Files and scans all completed payroll reports and maintenance on a weekly basis.
• Reconciles accounting system for leave accrual plans. Analyzes discrepancies and ensures accuracy of leave balances.
• Prepares journal entries for leave accruals on a monthly basis.
• Reconciles and files monthly union reports prior to the 10th of each month.
• Prepares and submits assigned weekly Certified Payroll Reports.
• Prepares and processes off cycle payrolls for rate changes.
• Performs related work as assigned.
