Job Title: Prep Cook (AM Shift)
Location: The Americano – Scottsdale, AZ
Schedule: Full-time, 5 days a week (morning shifts)

About The Americano:
The Americano is a modern Italian-inspired steakhouse. Our menu blends classic Italian tradition with contemporary creativity, featuring handmade pastas, prime steaks, and seasonally driven dishes.

Position Overview:
We are looking for a reliable and motivated Prep Cook to join our morning prep team. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and a passion for learning. This role is essential in supporting the kitchen team and ensuring a smooth and successful service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily prep tasks, including washing, chopping, portioning, and labeling ingredients.
  • Assist in preparing sauces, stocks, dressings, and other key components.
  • Follow standardized recipes and portioning guidelines with accuracy.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized prep station in compliance with food safety standards.
  • Support chefs and line cooks by stocking stations and communicating prep needs.
  • Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating product.

Qualifications:
  • Previous kitchen/prep experience preferred but not required – we are willing to train the right candidate.
  • Basic knife skills and knowledge of kitchen safety.
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Team-oriented with a positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
