Dental Practice Manager

Job Summary : Responsible for the management of the dental office, supervision of staff, oversight of equipment, ordering supplies, and maintenance.

FLSA : Full Time (32 hours), Exempt

Culture and Values

Walk alongside fellow WSM staff in Christian community as we journey toward maturity.

Encourage restoration in the lives of coworkers and guests, recognizing we are each restored by God to become restorers.

Work in full coordination with other WSM staff at all times to identify, report and respond appropriately to any potential threats to the safety and wellbeing of guests.

Role Specific Responsibilities

Management and oversight of the dental department, including budget, staff supervision, hiring and scheduling.

Involved in continuous quality improvement of dental clinic services.

Update policies & procedures to ensure compliance with various state, local, and federal regulations.

Oversight of the Electronic Health Record.

Recruit and oversee volunteers, along with their policies and expectations.

Work with the case managers from WSM in providing dental services to guests.

Build and maintain professional relationships within Lancaster dental community, including dental offices, specialist offices, schools, and dental labs.

Provide oral presentations and represent WSHS at WSM for guests and local dental events to promote volunteerism.

Keep the Dentist and Senior VP apprised of critical issues.

Other duties pertaining to the essential functions to assure the smooth functioning of the dental clinic.

Supervision (if appropriate)

Coordination and oversight of dental students and volunteer teams

Consultation and training for WSM staff with health-related issues on campus.

Education and Experience :

o Associate degree and / or certification in dental field

o Minimum 5 years' experience as an EFDA, Hygienist, or Office Manager

o Management experience

o PA Radiology certification

o Previous teaching experience in a college and or Career Training Program

o Bilingual : English / Spanish
