Job Summary
The Junior Financial Analyst will support the Gain & Loss department in maintaining basis records and providing Gain / Loss reporting for assets held in MS Wealth Management customer accounts. This role requires resolving branch inquiries on topics such as Gain / Loss account maintenance, 1099-B reporting, reconciliation discrepancies, and cost basis reporting, often requiring manual adjustments.
Key Responsibilities
- Address and resolve branch inquiries related to Gain / Loss topics, ensuring accurate financial reporting.
- Perform Gain / Loss account maintenance and manage 1099-B reporting.
- Provide educational and regulatory insight to branch staff and clients.
- Investigate and resolve reconciliation discrepancies in financial accounts.
- Ensure compliance with cost basis reporting standards.
Required Qualifications
B achelor's degree in a Business-related field with financial industry experience.Strong understanding of general accounting principles and their application in financial services.Knowledge of process controls, database management, spreadsheet applications, and data modeling.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, and other Office applications.Superior oral and written communication skills for professional interactions.Required Skills
