Job description

ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit Med Surg Level I for a travel nursing job in San Marcos, Texas.

RN Position Job Notes :

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details :

  • Work 12-hour night shifts from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 00 AM
  • Full-time position with every other weekend requirement
  • No call requirement, only on-call with low census limited to once every 2 weeks per contract
  • Provide routine and complex nursing care in the Intermediate Care unit
  • Utilize the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation for assigned patients
  • Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
  • Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols while monitoring for side-effects and effectiveness
  • Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given
  • Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members and caregivers
  • Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers
  • One year of experience in related nursing specialty preferred
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
  • Required certifications : BLS (AHA only), ACLS (AHA only)
  • Current RN License in Texas or compact state required
  • Must attend New Nurses Orientation within first 30 days of hire
  • Complete annual competency verification requirements
