Litigation Paralegal - Employment Law

A growing and stable Legal team is seeking a skilled and experienced Legal Assistant / Paralegal to join our dynamic Employment Law team in Sacramento. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a firm that values collaboration, innovation, and advocacy. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in supporting attorneys and managing the complex process of filing legal documents in both state and federal courts.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and file legal documents (complaints, motions, briefs) in federal and state courts.
• Ensure strict compliance with court rules and filing procedures.
• Track case deadlines, court appearances, and maintain organized case calendars.
• Conduct legal research and assist in drafting pleadings, subpoenas, discovery requests, and settlement agreements.
• Coordinate with attorneys and legal teams to gather necessary case information.
• Manage electronic and physical case files with precision.
• Maintain and update case management systems.
• Support attorneys in developing legal strategies and arguments.
• Provide general administrative and litigation support as needed.

Desired Skills and Experience

Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred (or currently in progress).

Paralegal certificate preferred.

Minimum of 3 years of paralegal experience, ideally in Civil Litigation.

Experience with PAGA, wage & hour, and class action matters is a plus.

Proficient in federal and state court procedures and electronic filing systems (e.g., CM / ECF).

Strong understanding of federal laws, rules, and regulations.

Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Proficiency in legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.

High level of discretion and professionalism.
