Design Responsibilities
- Develop firmware for board level and Industrial Internet of Things products
- Create low-level requirements from high-level product specifications
- Compact and efficient hardware and firmware design using mixed signal SoCs
- Microcontroller analog circuit interface, peripheral interface, communications
- Complete product line design including system level considerations
- Design for test, EMC compliance, hazardous location operation
- Product prototype, test, troubleshooting, and characterization
- Work independently and in small teams as a primary development resource
- Guide design of production automated test equipment
Education, Experience, Skills
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering / Electrical & Computer Engineering, M.S. preferred
- 3+ years electronics hardware, 3+ years embedded firmware design experience
- Proficient in C and C++, version control, code analysis tools, code optimization
- Design experience with IoT, IIoT technologies, security, and protocols
- Proficiency with DSOs, logic analyzers, schematic & PCB CAD, lab instruments
- Problem solving through creative thinking and collaboration
