Fuel Distribution System Worker

This is a National Guard Title 32 Excepted Service position. This National Guard position is for a Fuel Distribution System Worker, Position Description Number PDD2427000 and is part of the WY 153rd Logistics Readiness Squadron, Wyoming Air National Guard. This is a Title 32 Dual Status Technician Excepted Service position. Military affiliation is required.

Responsibilities : This position is located in the Fuels Management Flight, within the 153d Logistics Readiness Squadron, 153d Air Base Group, 153d Airlift Wing, Wyoming Air National Guard. The primary purpose is to manage fuel on behalf of the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) which consists of operations and maintenance of a fuel distribution system that includes a fuels laboratory, cryogenic storage, bulk storage, base service station, fuels information service center, mobile fueling operations and the financial account management for missile propellants, aviation fuels, ground fuels and cryogenics utilized in support of aircraft, motor vehicles, engine test cells, powered aerospace ground equipment (AGE), generators and heating systems required to support the Wing mission and transient aircraft.

Key Requirements : Open to current or prior service active duty, reserve or national guard members of one of the branches of the US Air Force, Army, Navy, or Marines. Employment Conditions : Technicians are paid through Direct Deposit / Electronic Funds Transfer (DD / EFT). Military Technicians are ineligible for military enlistment, retention, and student loan repayment bonuses. Acceptance of a Technician position will terminate these military incentives. Acceptance of a permanent or indefinite position will cause termination from the Selected Reserve Incentive Program (SRIP) and TRICARE Reserve Select (TRS). Minimum Requirements : Must possess experience or training which demonstrates the ability to follow instructions and to safely operate the type of equipment required to accomplish the duties of the position. Specialized Experience : Must possess experience or training operating, maintaining, repairing, troubleshooting, and overhauling fuel systems and components. Experience or training initiating and controlling the movement and storage of fuel supplies by operating high pressure systems with a series of terminals connected by cross-country pipelines or multi-fuel storage and distribution facilities connected by a network of internal pipelines. Military Requirements : Selected candidates will be required to be in a compatible military grade and assignment prior to the effective date of placement. Compatible Military Assignments : Must possess or be eligible to retrain into AFSC 2F0X1, Fuels. Enlisted 2F0X1 ASVAB Requirements : Must possess a minimum score of "52" on the "Mechanical" OR a minimum score of "61" on the "Electronics" portions of the ASVAB.
