I am looking to add to my team as a home-based travel agent and I need motivated individuals ready to learn and willing to dedicate the time / energy it takes to become a well-rounded team member within the travel industry.
Your primary responsibility is to assist clients in planning and booking their travel arrangements. This includes flights, hotels, rental cars, theme park tickets, and other travel itineraries.
Strong communication skills : You must be able to communicate effectively with clients and travel suppliers via phone, email, and other channels.
Attention to detail : You need to ensure that all travel arrangements are accurate and meet the client's needs and preferences.
Sales skills : You should be able to promote travel packages and upsell services to clients. Computer proficiency : You will need to use online travel booking platforms, customer relationship management (CRM) software, and other tools to manage client information and bookings.
Time management : You will be responsible for managing your own schedule and meeting deadlines for booking travel arrangements.
Industry knowledge : You should be familiar with travel industry trends, regulations, and best practices. Requirements : High school diploma or equivalent Must be 18 years or older Citizen of the United States or Mexico Overall, a successful home-based travel agent is someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and has a passion for travel.
