We have a variety of 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift openings throughout Walworth County , some temporary to permanent positions but MANY are direct hire to our client.
What might you do in the Maintenance Mechanic position?
- Diagnose, repair, rebuild and maintain production equipment
- Conduct preventative and general maintenance activities to ensure plant systems and equipment are in good operating conditions
- Upgrade production lines with new equipment / technology
- Fabricate fixtures or parts using lathes, milling machine and drill presses
- Maintenance may include electrical, steam / plumbing, compressor operations, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical drives, and CNC machining
Maintenance Mechanic Requirements (will differ per position) :
- A High School Diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in a technical area is plus
- An ability to be on the move and active within your role; this includes occasionally lifting 40-60 pounds
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, data trending and equipment manuals
- Experience in reading and interpreting PLC programs, ability to make minor program changes
- Working knowledge of electrical wiring, logic relays, mechanical, pneumatics, hydraulics, plumbing (PVC, copper, galvanized), and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
