Plenty Goods Café is a wellness-focused café and meal-prep company rooted in hospitality, creativity, and community. We are looking for a Lead Line Cook who is passionate about healthy, mindful cuisine and excited to contribute to a growing, purpose-driven food program.
This role is ideal for a cook who thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves flavor-forward cooking, and takes pride in consistency and execution.
Position Overview
The Lead Line Cook will oversee weekly hot meal production for our subscription members , execute items for the café’s hot line, support salad bar operations, and collaborate on new menu concepts. This role plays a key part in maintaining the Plenty Goods standard of quality, cleanliness, and hospitality-focused service.
You will work closely with ownership and FOH / BOH teams to deliver delicious, nutritionally mindful meals that our customers trust and love.
Key Responsibilities Weekly Member Meals
Plan, prep, and execute three weekly hot meals for our member program according to PG recipes, standards, and production timelines.
Maintain consistency, flavor quality, and accurate yields.
Document recipes, processes, and suggested improvements.
Hot Line Production & Execution
Cook and execute all hot line items during shifts (soups, bowls, proteins, etc.).
Maintain impeccable station setup, organization, and cleanliness.
Salad Bar Coverage
Oversee salad bar setup, organization, refilling, and overall freshness when Cold Line coverage is not available.
Ensure produce quality, portioning, and visual appeal meet PG standards.
Menu Development & Innovation
Assist with new menu concept creation for both the café and member meals.
Participate in tastings, recipe testing, costing, and refinement.
Bring fresh, seasonal, health-minded ideas to the table.
Qualifications
2–4 years of professional line cook experience, preferably in café, wellness-oriented, or fast-casual environments.
Strong understanding of whole-food, fresh, health-forward cooking.
Ability to follow recipes precisely while executing high-volume production.
Strong knife skills, efficient mise en place, and a proactive, self-directed work style.
Weekend availability is required.
Ability to lift 40 lbs and stand for extended periods.
A positive attitude, collaborative spirit, and commitment to maintaining a clean, organized kitchen.
