Our New York Capital Markets Talent Acquisition team delivers best-in-class experiences to enable CIBC to attract top talent. As a Talent Acquisition Contractor, you'll proactively source, identify and assess talent, hiring strong talent and leaders who can help us deliver an exceptional client and employee experience. You will primarily support CIBC's US Capital Markets businesses by developing strategic talent attraction strategy, sourcing plans, and actively recruiting high quality candidates who can effectively support business plans and goals. CIBC's US Capital Markets group includes Global Markets Trading and Global Corporate and Investment Banking, with offices across the country.
They will be responsible for facilitating the full life cycle of recruitment; working with the ED & Head, US Talent Acquisition and HRBPs to manage, negotiate, provide oversight, and administrative support throughout the recruitment and onboarding process, as well as to educate, consult and transfer knowledge of global staffing processes / policies to the US HR team and / or US hiring managers.

Independently manage the lifecycle of job requisitions, including opening requisitions, tracking progress, coordinating interviews, and ensuring successful timely closure of roles.
Minimum 2-4 years' recruitment / sourcing experience in a high volume, fast paced corporate environment. Experience within the financial industry is preferred. Strong interviewing and assessment skills with experience conducting phone screens and a proven ability to independently manage end-to-end recruitment cycle. Self-starter and strong team player with excellent organizational and time management skills, capable of effectively prioritizing and managing multiple competing tasks and tight timelines. Possess outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with all management levels and key stakeholders in a complex reporting environment, while maintaining strong attention to detail. Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter and Applicant Tracking Systems such as Workday. Capability to adapt and modify procedures in a changing environment to ensure productivity and efficiency. Bachelor's degree required. Excellent computer skills; must be able to manipulate spreadsheet data and have intermediate level skills (at an absolute minimum) on PowerPoint, Word, and Excel. At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $70,000-$85,000 for the New York, NY market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit's incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location. Additional total compensation and benefits details will be provided during the hiring process.
