Purpose :

Role is responsible for designing, planning, and executing large scale data analysis, and algorithm development to identify gaps in the care continuum and to measure impact using real-world data and evidence (RWD / E). This work highlights the value of utilizing real world data to inform and / or address strategic questions in the disease areas of interest to AbbVie. The role involves the application of real-world evidence study design, statistical theories, analytical methods, and technical programming skills to analyze clinical, survey, claims, and electronic medical record databases. Role supports the department as a technical subject matter expert on RWE analytics; candidates are expected to act as a point of contact for the MHI Enterprise (all Therapeutic Areas (TAs)) on analytical needs, proactively mitigating, resolving and triaging issues and reducing the operational complexity needed. Candidates are expected to standardize coding convention, and processes to increase efficiency. Candidates must be adept at breaking down complex data into easily understood language and data visualization creation for comprehension of less technical audiences. Candidates should also be creative in the use of RWD / E and advanced analytics approaches such as machine learning to propose solutions to complex business questions. The role requires both technical application and consultative collaboration.

Responsibilities :

• The candidate is expected to be the analytics lead for the MHI Enterprise (all TAs) to mitigate, resolve and triage analytical complexities supporting care gaps analytics needs for medical engagement
• Presenting results of analysis and key takeaways for audiences with varying technical skill and level within the organization.
• Identifying appropriate internal and external data resources and external expertise to execute strategies and research activities
• Developing and executing analysis plans, and responsible for study design
• Work with Medical Engagement to understand key impact variables and use RWD to quantify and operationalize these variables
• Responsibility and accountability for meeting timelines in complex matrix structure. This will require developing and maintaining effective cross-functional working relationships to ensure effective teamwork and problem solving within the cross-functional team
• Interacting with Medical Engagement, Business Unit TAs, HEOR Strategy, and RWE CoE (Center of Expertise) regarding findings evidence along the lines of strategic communication
• Translating TA business needs into project concepts to develop analysis plan and corresponding analysis
• Utilization of good coding, development and documentation practices to ensure robust creation and maintenance of care gap analytics projects

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. ​
