Our client is looking for a diligent staff accountant to join our client's accounting department. In this role, you will assist in the preparation of monthly and year-end closings, fixed asset maintenance, journal entries, bank reconciliations, and general ledger reconciliations.
Your responsibilities will also cover various aspects of internal and external reporting.
Duties / Responsibilities :
- Maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts.
- Preparing journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations as part of the monthly close processes.
- Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Meeting processing and reporting deadlines.
- Responding to information requests both internal and external.
- Ensuring compliance with GAAP.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills / Abilities :
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Working knowledge of GAAP.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Good problem-solving and time-management skills.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, and accounting software
Education and Experience :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, required.
