General Statement of Job :
The Crisis Peer Support Coach assists individuals throughout recovery, helping them gain skills, access resources, and regain the confidence to succeed in society.They will initiate contact with patients in crisis and support them throughout the recovery process by providing guidance, advocation, validation, respect, and empowerment drawing on their lived experiences. This position works in acute settings that address crisis mental health and substance use care between crisis settings as well as in an outreach setting with a multidisciplinary team.
Essential Functions :
Provide Peer Counseling and Follow-up Care
Serve on Interdisciplinary Team, Collaborate to Ensure All Patients Receive Appropriate Care
Collaborate with Appropriate Systems Involved with Patient Care
Complete all Administrative Tasks / Functions Appropriate to the Role to Support Operations

Qualifications
Education :
High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
Experience :
A passion for assisting those with mental health or substance use challenges. Preferably, an applicant has lived experience with mental health or substance use struggles personally or through a family member, friend, or colleague
Certification :
Recovery Peer Specialist Certification or the achievement of this certification within 1 year of employment. Current BLS certification required.
Licensure :
Valid Florida Driver's license required.
