This is for a PostgreSQL database administrator with solid experience to assist with establishing and documenting :
- Best practices
- Automated installs
- Security
- Monitoring
- Backup and recovery procedures
- HA / DR configurations
HIGHLY Prefers local candidates. the role will work remotely with occasional work in Oakland GO.
TOP THINGS :
- Knowledge of PostgreSQL and RedHat RHEL 8.x
- Good verbal and written communication.
- HA / DR Setup including logical, physical standby
- Migration from Oracle / SQL Server to PostgreSQL
- Demonstrate consistent and independent ability to manage projects and the workload.
- Manage work according to criteria of costs, scheduling, and functional and technical performance.
- Maintain open and honest communications with clients, teammates and management for purposes of providing ongoing, timely status reporting.
- Communicate status, issues and concerns in both written and oral formats.
- Provide proper documentation for knowledge sharing and transition.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to adhere to company policies and compliance standards.
- Experience with PostgreSQL monitoring and performance tuning tools.
- Familiarity with Linux / Unix operating systems and shell scripting.

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or job-related discipline or equivalent experience.
The hourly rate for this position is between $ 58.00 - $ 64.00 per hour.
Compensation :
