Supervisor, Working Capital

Overview : The Supervisor, Working Capital, is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Accounts Payable team, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments. This role requires a self-motivated leader who can coach and develop team members, drive process improvements, and take initiative to resolve issues proactively.

Responsibilities :

• Supervise and mentor AP staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
• Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices and vendor payments.
• Manage vendor onboarding to ensure a smooth setup.
• Monitor compliance with company policies and internal controls.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Proactively address discrepancies, vendor inquiries, and payment issues.
• Take ownership of complex problems and drive them to resolution.
• Prepare and review AP reports, metrics, and reconciliations.
• Lead quarterly reviews with vendors and our annual internal review of active vendors.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities as well as audit requests.
• Work closely with Procurement, GBS Finance, IT, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Collaborate with NAM Working Capital Manager on a regular basis regarding team issues, opportunities, cash flow, and account related priorities.
• Other duties and ad hoc projects, as needed.

Work Schedule / Location : Employees residing within 25 miles of an APL Logistics Hub Office (AZ, FL, MI, NC, OR) are required to follow a designated Hybrid schedule as described below.

Qualifications : Preferred 3+ years of experience in Accounts Payable, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role (transportation environment preferred). Preferred strong leadership and coaching skills. Preferred excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities. Preferred proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.

The typical starting salary range for this position is : $67,970 - $90,000. The actual salary offer will take into account multiple factors including skills, experience, and location.
