Job description

Job Description

The Healthcare Accreditation Coordinator is responsible for ensuring organizational activities comply with accreditation and regulatory standards and requirements. The Coordinator manages ongoing audits and validation of organizational policies and processes to maintain accreditation readiness. The Coordinator develops corrective measures to address variances and communicates findings and action plans to leadership on an ongoing basis.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates essential accreditation, regulatory, and licensure processes and compliance within the organization

Responsible for interpreting new or revised regulatory standards for the organization and communicating to leaders

  • Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to ensure policies, procedures, and practices are compliant with regulatory standards
  • Coordinates the process for evaluating, reviewing, and revising policies and procedures with evidence-based practice while integrating applicable standards and regulations
  • Acts as a resource to identified readiness teams, committees and leadership
  • Collaborates with leadership to ensure continued accreditation readiness
  • Works in collaboration with clinical area to ensure that all required regulatory submissions and follow-up, including the annual Focus Standards Assessment (FSA), Evidence of Standards Compliance (ESC), response to regulatory complaint investigations, Measures of Success (MOS) and action plans are appropriate and completed

  • Communicates with Director of Quality Performance Improvement and leaders to appropriately identify action plans for unresolved variances or noncompliant areas
  • Facilitates clinical and environmental tracers and utilizes findings to initiate corrective action plans
  • Develops and oversees the implementation of corrective action plans to address survey findings; Monitors and analyzes all data related to action plans and reports results to leadership
  • Coordinates all communication with accreditation bodies, survey activities and follow-up
  • Qualifications

    Education :

    Required : Bachelor's Degree from an accredited program in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, lnformatics, Finance or other field of study; Applicable experience can be used in lieu of education requirement

    Preferred : Master's Degree

    Experience :

    Required : Five (5) years of experience in an acute healthcare facility with two (2) years of experience performing quality, regulatory, or accreditation processes

    Skills :

    Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills
