About the Opportunity

At The Springs Living, safety is a shared responsibility and a reflection of how we care for both our team members and the residents we serve. We believe strong onboarding and education help employees feel confident, supported, and prepared from day one.

The Springs at Greer Gardens is offering a Safety Program Development Internship for a current student or graduating senior who is interested in learning how proactive safety education supports high-quality care and sustainable operations in senior living. This project-based internship focuses on enhancing and organizing existing safety practices to support new employees as they onboard into key roles.

You’ll work alongside community and operational leaders to review current safety education, observe workflows, and help design a structured onboarding safety framework that reinforces safe work practices across departments.

What You’ll Do

  • Review existing onboarding and safety training materials across departments

  • Analyze safety reports and trends with a focus on early employment and onboarding periods

  • Identify opportunities to strengthen safety education for new team members

  • Learn the process to develop a structured onboarding safety framework, including department-specific considerations

  • Collaborate with leaders in Culinary Services, Health Services, and Plant Operations

  • Help document and present recommended enhancements to community leadership

What You’ll Learn

  • Exposure to workplace safety and injury prevention in a senior living environment

  • How onboarding and education influence employee confidence and retention

  • Practical experience reviewing safety data and translating it into training improvements

  • Cross-department collaboration and professional communication skills

  • Insight into how safety supports quality care, operational consistency, and employee well-being

Who This Internship Is For

  • Current students or those graduating this year in healthcare administration, human resources, business, or related fields

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail

  • Interest in safety-focused, prevention-oriented work

  • Comfortable working with leaders and frontline teams in a professional, respectful manner

  • Motivation to contribute to a positive, learning-focused workplace culture

Why Join The Springs Living

  • Paid summer internship with a clearly defined, meaningful project

  • Opportunity to contribute to onboarding practices that support employee success

  • Mentorship and exposure to senior living operations and leadership

  • Experience working within a values-driven organization focused on dignity, safety, and continuous improvement
