Shift timings : 8 : 00-16 : 30 Hours.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Implement and monitor patient care plans.
  • Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
  • Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
  • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
  • Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

Minimum Qualifications

  • The Manager of Nursing - PICU is accountable for the direction, supervision and evaluation of patient care performed by nursing personnel within their assigned service setting in accordance with established goals.
  • Responsible for unit operation, scheduling, position control, staffing and coordination of the quality improvement process.
  • Applies advanced, broad-based knowledge of nursing practice and theory, as well as advanced knowledge of techniques of supervision, management and leadership as applied to specific nursing responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • BLS and ACLS
  • National Institutes of Health (NIH)
  • Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) Certification
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • The ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Strong technical skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Passionate about patient care
  • Requires a minimum of two years of current RN Pediatric ICU experience.
  • Graduate from a fully accredited RN program
  • Active unencumbered RN California state license
  • One year of Epic experience

  • Effective interpersonal / communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
