The Department of Rehabilitation Science and Technology is seeking an Adjunct to teach Functional Anatomy and Kinesiologyin our Master of Science in Prosthetics and Orthotics program. This role is vital in shaping the knowledge and skills of aspiring prosthetists and orthotists, equipping students with a deep understanding of the human body's structure and movement.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Develop and deliver comprehensive lectures and laboratory sessions on functional anatomy and kinesiology with a specific focus on applications in prosthetics and orthotics.
- Create interactive teaching materials and activities that integrate functional anatomy, kinesiology, and clinical applications for prosthetic and orthotic treatment.
- Facilitate hands-on learning experiences in movement analysis, lab sessions, and functional assessments relevant to prosthetics and orthotics.
- Supervise and mentor students in the laboratory, ensuring they develop the knowledge and skills necessary for effective patient care.
- Collaborate with faculty to integrate functional anatomy and kinesiology across the prosthetics and orthotics curriculum.
- Provide one-on-one and group tutoring to support students in mastering complex anatomical and biomechanical concepts.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and performance.
- Ensure compliance with institutional policies and academic standards, fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
