Job Summary

The Amazon & Walmart Business Manager is a hybrid between sales and marketing and responsible for the development and execution of the strategic growth plan. The business manager will be the key contact for Amazon, Walmart and other marketplace related activities and the daily operations lead, working with internal and external cross functional partners (IT, broker and agency partners, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Pricing, and brand finance).

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identifies opportunities to develop our Amazon and Walmart business and takes the necessary steps to collaborate and execute the changes needed to capture them
  • Leads the collaboration between our micro fulfillment partner, customer service, and supply chain to ensure proper inventory levels and timely fulfillment of orders.
  • Plan and manage promotional opportunities, product campaigns, promotional opportunities and develop promotional calendars.
  • Fiscal accountability to work within assigned trade budget.
  • Manage PDP improvements, SEO, PPC advertising
  • Responsible for developing and forecasting sales volume on marketplace.
  • Coordinates the necessary internal changes required to support Amazon growth
  • Works with Customer Service, fulfillment partners, and Supply Chain to ensure support of Vendor Central Business
  • Work with IT to develop internal order process and managing fees / taxes.
  • Manages Broker and Agency Relationships
  • Manages Amazon Store Front
  • Works with Legal on Brand Registry to protect Morton Trademarks and remove unauthorized 3P sellers.
  • Develop & Execute strategic on Amazon and Walmart growth plans including Amazon TPM, ASIN selection and opportunities.
  • Lead Profitability analysis and process execution plan for Morton transition to Amazon Seller Central and Walmart Market Place
  • Use insights / syndicated data analysis to prepare fact-based presentations.
  • Evaluate and lead the process as required to breakthrough in DTC fulfillment

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Bachelor's degree required. Master's Degreed preferred.
  • 7 years of Amazon experience required
  • Outstanding organization, communication, presentation, and management skills
  • Entrepreneurial leader that stays abreast of industry trends, able to set a vision, orchestrate a process to execute on that plan, and influence and inspire others to believe.
  • Strong website and consumer analytic skills, including the ability to link site design and features to strategic objectives and the ability to use the data and metrics to back up assumptions and recommendations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, decision-making and negotiation skills
  • Strong CPG discipline process oriented to customer centricity

  • Critical thinking skills and a "bias for action"
  • Ability to work through complex, unstructured problems
  • Demonstrated track record of increasing e-commerce revenues via Amazon and Walmart in an Omni-channel business model.
  • Outstanding organization, communication, presentation, and management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, decision-making and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in Excel, Power Point, Syndicated data and Trade Promotion Management
  • Position requires individual to have a thorough understanding of business financials and experience presenting to executive level personnel within their own company.
