We are seeking a skilled Industrial Factory Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and managing industrial control systems and automation projects.You will work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize production processes, improve efficiency, and ensure safety and quality standards are met. While performing the duties, you will : Design, develop, and commission industrial automation systems, including PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, and other automated control systemsPerform troubleshooting of process, equipment, and system malfunctions or failuresCollaborate with internal & external resources / engineers to integrate automation technology into new and existing machinery and equipmentPerform quality discrepancy evaluations / assessments and provide support for investigationsPerform cGMP reviews of executed Automation Work Plans and tests for completeness and accuracyProvide training and technical support to operations and maintenance teamsConduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost-benefit analyses for automation projectsImplement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and safetyConduct off- shift, weekend, and overtime duties (as needed)Travel 5%Who You Are : Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in electrical, Mechanical, Electronic, Industrial Automation or Computer Science with 5+ years of experience in FDA regulated industry sectors in pharmaceutical, medical devices, or biotechnologyor Master’s degree in electrical, Mechanical, Electronic, Industrial Automation or Computer Science with 3 years of experience in FDA regulated industry sectors in pharmaceutical, medical device, or biotechnology2+ years of experience in validation, qualification and software life cycle as it relates to GxP environment3+ years of experience programming and configuring PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), HMIs (Human-Machine Interfaces), SCADA to automate processes and monitor operations Preferred QualificationsExperience in FDA regulated industry sectorsExperience working in Pharmaceutical or Biologic manufacturing facility environmentGood understanding of electronics & electrical (low voltage) concepts and industrial network conceptsDrafting of URS, FS, DS, SDS and IOQ ProtocolsExperience with Windows Servers and Industrial Data HistorianKnowledge of Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), I&E (Instrumentation and Electrical) including networking, panel design, IO / device configuration, and wiring diagramsNetwork Segregation and Firewall Configuration and Virtual ServersKnowledge of MS SQL is plusHands on experience programing and troubleshooting with FactoryTalk View and Allen-BradleyExperience with programing vision systems such as Cognex, Keyence is a plusUnderstanding of principles and concepts of Lean Six Sigma to continuously improve qualification program Pay Range for this position - $49,500 - $148,900Our ranges incorporate all levels and career types available within this specific role and are derived from relevant industry market data.
