Summary :
Debris Monitors confirm debris eligibility by documenting the location of the debris (field monitors) and the volume of debris collected (tower / debris management site monitors).Candidates should be comfortable working in various environments, including on boats, as debris monitoring may involve work in waterways. Experience or willingness to work in aquatic settings is preferred.
Location : Jacksonville, FL and surrounding cities
Availability : These are contract positions and, if activated, will likely require travel on short notice, generally lasting from several days to a few weeks and possibly 30 days or more, depending on the disaster response needs. Shifts may be up to 12 hours per day, 7 days a week, with mileage reimbursement.
Duties & Responsibilities :
- Report to work on time at the designated area and wait for an assignment.
- Monitor and observe all loading activities of trucks, bobcats, and front-end loaders - confirm that they are loading only storm-related debris that is on public rights-of-way or property.
- Make sure Contractors pick up all eligible debris, and that they clear branches and other debris off roadway and private driveways before moving on.
- Fill out Load Tickets completely and accurately.
- Record any damages caused by a Contractor.
- Remain courteous, respectful and professional at all times with residents, Contractors, County or City officials and fellow employees.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Florida District 2 Counites - Alachua, Baker, Bradford, Clay, Columbia, Dixie, Duval, Gilchrist, Hamilton, Lafayette, Levy, Madison, Nassau, Putnam, St. Johns, Suwannee, Taylor, and Union Counties
