Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related science from a four-year college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Job Title : Chemist - Gas Chromatography
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Chemist specializing in Gas Chromatography to provide accurate analytical services and results. The role involves performing routine extraction, chemical isolation, and sample clean-up using various techniques. The successful candidate will operate and maintain laboratory equipment, prepare reagents, and document processes according to current Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Responsibilities
- Provide precise analytical services and results.
- Perform routine extraction, chemical isolation, and sample clean-up.
- Extract samples and prepare reagents.
- Operate laboratory equipment including blenders, nitrogen, roto-evaporators, shakers, pH meters, and centrifuges.
- Conduct sample extractions following documented methods and SOPs.
- Utilize techniques such as blending, shaking, Soxhlet extraction, digestion, SPE, distillation / condensation, liquid-liquid partitioning, and chemical derivatization.
- Document and prepare reagents and analytical working standards independently.

The position is based in a laboratory environment, requiring the use of general laboratory equipment such as pH meters, centrifuges, balances, and pipettes. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $57200.00 / yr.
