Job title : Local Class C Driver

Pay : Starting at $22 - $26 depending on experience

Schedule : Monday-Friday starting around 7am and working until all loads for the day have been delivered.

Location : Damascus, Oregon

At PARR, our Drivers are essential to fulfilling the needs of our customers by making sure they are receiving their orders on time and in excellent condition. The ideal driver is someone driven to maintain safety regulations and above and beyond customer service.

The Driver reports directly to the Yard Manager and interacts daily with customers, dispatchers, receivers, and load builders.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Class C License
• Must be 21 years old or older
• Current DOT Medical Card or must obtain DOT medical card as condition of employment
• Acceptable driving record
• Ability to speak, write, and read English required
• Knowledge of vehicle safety audits and reports of any malfunctioning equipment as required by Federal and state regulations and company policy
• Ability to manage time and routes for a streamlined delivery experience
• Open and transparent communication
• Familiarity with GPS devices or map applications
• Driving experience within 50-mile radius of primary location preferred
• Shoes that are puncture resistant, slip resistant, made of leather or composite material, and have ankle support required

Duties and Responsibilities

This is considered a safety-sensitive position. Drivers will be working at a lumber yard and making deliveries at jobsites in all weather conditions.
