As a Full-Time Maintenance Custodial professional at The International School of Portland, you'll embark on an exciting journey in facilities with a hands-on approach. Your main tasks will include meticulously maintaining our facilities, ensuring a welcoming environment for students and staff. You'll take on grounds keeping responsibilities to ensure our campus is a beautiful and vibrant place to learn. Additionally, you'll handle minor repairs, giving you the opportunity to develop practical skills in maintenance.

Requirements for this role

To thrive as a Full-Time Maintenance Custodial professional at The International School of Portland, you'll need a dynamic blend of skills and qualities. Being a self-motivated and proactive problem solver is essential, as you'll face unique challenges daily. Strong organizational skills are crucial for meeting deadlines while collaborating seamlessly with students, faculty, and the community. You must adapt to changing situations with a flexible mindset and communicate effectively, whether through face-to-face interactions, phone calls, or emails with co-workers. Attention to detail will ensure compliance with building codes and quality standards.

Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations is necessary. Proficiency in Google Suite, and online database software for timekeeping, and CMM for tracking ticket orders is highly desired. A high school diploma or GED is required, alongside at least a year of experience in maintenance or custodial work. CPR and First Aid certification, along with a valid driver's license, will set you up for success in this role.

Required Qualifications

  • High school/GED or equivalent experience
  • 1 plus years experience of maintenance, handiwork, and custodial work on commercial buildings
  • Demonstrated proficiency in written and spoken English
  • Current driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associates degree relating to the building trade or commercial building maintenance field
  • CPR and First Aid certification
