Our Communications team plays a vital role in sharing the stories, values, and impact of our work with the communities we serve.

Position Summary

This entry-level role is ideal for a recent graduate , or early-career professional, or non-degreed, experience-based professional looking to gain hands-on experience across a wide range of communications functions-from digital content and social media to internal communications and marketing collateral.

This is a unique opportunity to explore multiple facets of nonprofit communications while contributing to meaningful work that changes lives.

Key Responsibilities

Project Coordination & Client Support

• Serve as the first point of contact for internal communications requests ("help desk" style).
• Coordinate intake and dispatch of requests to appropriate team members.
• Schedule and monitor client meetings and follow up as needed.
• Track and manage projects using Smartsheet and shared inboxes.

Content Creation & Digital Support

Design & Marketing Support

Public Relations Support

Qualifications

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS :

Must have a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation to perform the essential duties of the role; a motor vehicle check (MVR) with a satisfactory driving record per the LSS Driver Safety Procedure is required, and ability to meet LSS auto insurance requirements.

LANGUAGE SKILLS :

Ability to communicate both in verbal and written format, effectively and efficiently in job.

COMPUTER SKILLS / TECHNOLOGY :

Working knowledge of computers to allow employee to access computer systems and applications to complete timecards, read and respond to email, and complete required on-line training.

Must have the ability to learn additional marketing-specific software to include Adobe Creative Cloud, and social media platforms Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc. SharePoint, Adobe Premiere, Sprout Social, MailChimp, etc.

Keyboarding is required for this position.

The incumbent of this position works in an air-conditioned, office environment. The incumbent will also be exposed to outdoor weather conditions when traveling on company business.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

TRAVEL : Ability to travel on day trips as required up to 10%. Some overnight travel may be required.
