Texas A&M International University (TAMIU), a member of The Texas A&M University System, welcomes applicants for the position of Assistant Professor of Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence) to begin Fall 2027.

This is a tenure-track, nine-month Assistant Professor of Computer Science position. A reduced teaching load supports research development. Primary duties will include establishing an independent, externally funded AI research program, with particular interest in machine learning, natural language processing, computer vision, and deep learning; contributing to the BS in Computer Science by teaching AI, machine learning, computer vision, and related courses; and mentoring student research and senior design projects. Opportunities also exist to contribute to the AI-themed MS in Systems Engineering. Duties also include teaching other Computer Science and graduate courses as needed; supporting recruitment, curriculum development, accreditation, and School service; and collaborating with faculty and external partners on interdisciplinary research.
