As an Electronic Combat Solutions (ECS) Systems Engineering Section Leader, you will provide Systems Engineering support to programs and manage a small group of Systems Engineers that support multiple programs comprised of cross-functional, multi-disciplinary teams to integrate, debug, and test next generation EW systems.
Roles and Responsibilities :
- Functional Manager key responsibilities :
- Staffing : Recruit, retain, train, recognize, develop, and assign SEs as appropriate to meet business area needs
- Developing individual, group, and organization goals and objectives
- Communicating flow-down
- Collecting and providing performance feedback
- Career mentoring including development of career and training plans
- Ensuring group members adhere to BAE Systems' cultural principals, policies, and vision
- Tracking program execution through metrics and technical reviews
- Systems Engineering responsibilities may include :
- Leading a small or medium team of Systems Engineers on EW related programs
- Managing system engineering content and work products
- Understanding and implementing the product development process
- Schedule and cost account responsibilities for systems team
- Execution of systems planning and requirements development
- Creation and review of systems requirements to include, software, component, subsystem, and operational concepts
- Deriving, decomposing, allocation and traceability of requirements to engineering disciplines
- Creating and / or review of algorithms
- Creating system test plans, procedures and reports
- Leading product design, development, integration, and verification
- Participate & support outside contact with customers, other contractors and government officials.
- Manage and participate in trade studies, peer reviews, and customer meetings
- Preparing and delivering technical presentations internally and with customers.
- Identify, monitor and report metrics such as System Technical Performance Measures
- Supports proposal development activities, including proposal text development, cost and schedule estimating, and presentation activities

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range : $146670 - $249330
Please note : This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to : business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
