Overview
Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Marine Crane Operators for projects located in and around Oakland, CA . This is a full time opportunity with a pay range of up to $40 / hour based on experience plus $150 / Per Diem to Travelers 60+ miles from the job site. If you are a Marine Crane Operator and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity, and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career!
Job Scope :
- Operate ship-to-shore gantry cranes or yard cranes to safely lift, move, and position cargo containers between ships, trucks, and storage areas, following terminal procedures and safety standards
- Conduct pre- and post-operation inspections of cranes and related equipment
- Report any mechanical issues, defects, or malfunctions to maintenance personnel to ensure continuous and safe operations
- Communicate effectively via radio and visual signals with signalers, stevedores, and vessel crews
- Align movements to maintain workflow efficiency and prevent collisions or damage during loading and unloading operations
- Other tasks as assigned
