About Giga

Giga is building gigawatts of AI data centers to hasten a future of intelligence and abundance. We build data centers fast and at scale by combining the capabilities of an equipment supplier, engineering firm, general contractor, and real estate developer under one roof. Our team moves quickly and thinks practically. If you're ready to make an impact in an industry that matters, we're looking for people like you.

Why Join Giga

  • The Pace: We're building at a speed most companies talk about but never actually operate at. If you've been bored somewhere else, you won't be here.
  • The Impact: Every person at Giga touches the work that matters. No layers, no waiting for approval chains. You'll see your fingerprints on what we ship.
  • The Team: A team of operators defining the future of AI infrastructure. We recruit A-players from the most innovative companies in the world, and they choose Giga because the work here means more.
  • The Moment: AI doesn't run without power, and that's us. Giga is the picks and shovels behind the AI revolution. This industry is about to explode, and you'll be in the room where it's already happening.

What You'll Do

As Giga Energy's Senior Recruiter for Data Center EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction), you will own hiring for the teams that get our data centers designed, permitted, procured, and built. You'll be the connective tissue between our project development, construction, engineering, and procurement leaders and the market of talent that can execute at our pace. This is a full-cycle role: writing sharp job descriptions, building sourcing strategies for hard-to-find EPC talent, running phone screens, coordinating interviews, and closing candidates. As the recruiter driving hiring for our physical build, you'll need deep comfort with construction and infrastructure hiring, and the independence to run the process end to end.

Where You'll Work

This role is ideally based in our San Francisco, Long Beach, or Houston offices, with full-time onsite expectations outside of bi-weekly WFH Fridays. That said, we will make exceptions for truly exceptional talent if you live outside one of our hubs. If you're the right person for this role, we'll have a conversation about what works.

Responsibilities

  • Own full-cycle recruiting for EPC roles: Manage all recruiting efforts for critical EPC and construction reqs from sourcing to interview management to close with an emphasis on strong hiring manager partnership and candidate advocacy.
  • Build the EPC talent pipeline: Build and maintain talent pipelines for project development, construction management, medium/high-voltage engineering, procurement, and field construction roles.
  • Source across industry-adjacent talent pools: Go beyond job boards tap general contractors, EPC firms, and adjacent industries like oil & gas, LNG, and utility-scale energy to find candidates who can operate at our pace.
  • Manage stakeholders: Partner with construction, engineering, and project development leadership to understand hiring needs, develop job descriptions, and build recruitment plans specific to the build organization.
  • Be an ambassador for Giga Energy: Share the Giga Energy story, culture, and vision with prospective candidates, and build our reputation as a destination for top EPC and infrastructure talent.
  • Own the data: Maintain accurate, up-to-date candidate records in Greenhouse (ATS) and generate regular recruiting reports on pipeline health and hiring velocity.
  • Deliver an awesome candidate experience: We move fast here at Giga Energy you'll manage the end-to-end experience for EPC candidates, from application through video screen, in-person interviews, and offer.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with a track record hiring for construction, EPC, or industrial/infrastructure roles.
  • Startup or "first-in recruiter" experience you have ideally been the first or sole recruiter for a company, or worked at a high-growth startup.
  • Practical experience sourcing passive candidates using a variety of strategies and platforms, including Boolean and X-ray search.
  • Working knowledge of EPC and construction hiring you can speak credibly to roles spanning project development, engineering, procurement, and field construction.
  • Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and recruitment software (Greenhouse or similar).
  • Highly self-motivated, organized, and comfortable operating as the sole recruiter in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Bonus Points

  • Prior experience recruiting specifically for data centers, power, or energy infrastructure.
  • An existing network of construction, engineering, or procurement talent from EPC firms, general contractors, or utility-scale energy projects.
  • Experience recruiting across both corporate and field-based hiring simultaneously.

How We Work

We value people who take ownership, raise risks early, communicate directly, and follow through. Incomplete information is part of the job. Make the best decision you can, document it, and adjust as the facts change. Move quickly on reversible decisions and take more care when security, safety, financial, employee, or customer risk is involved.

Benefits

  • Subsidized health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Equity (options) in a rapidly growing startup
  • 401(k) with 4% employer match
  • Unlimited PTO
  • Parental leave
  • Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) or Health Savings Account (HSA)
  • Commuter benefits, where applicable
  • Opportunities to collaborate in person at periodic team and company on-sites
