Job Title : Lab Technician

Job Description

Our Wheat Ridge, CO laboratory is seeking an entry-level Lab Technician to join the team. The Lab Technician will prepare samples with accuracy and precision in accordance with analytical SOPs. This role requires working independently and as part of a team to meet daily production targets and ensure hold times and turnaround times are met. Adhering to safe laboratory practices and maintaining a safe working environment are essential.

Responsibilities

• Independently prepare samples for analysis according to analytical SOPs using basic instrumentation specific to the department and analytical methodologies.
• Perform routine operation, maintenance, and calibration of prep instruments / equipment.
• Assist with validation and MDL studies as needed.
• Input and maintain technical information to support laboratory functions / operations.
• Maintain Laboratory Notebook where applicable.
• Adhere to internal standards, policies, and procedures.
• Perform other duties as required.
• 1st shift duties include light wet chemistry and general chemistry tasks such as pH, conductivity, balance, weighing, filtering, reagents, hot blocking, and digestions.
• 2nd shift duties include sample intake, handling, weighing of soil samples, digestions, and monitoring of instrumentation.

Work Environment

This is a high-volume production-based environmental lab. The work can be project-oriented and deadline-driven. There are two open positions : 1st shift from Mon - Fri 8am - 5pm (with a 1-hour lunch break) and 2nd shift from Mon - Fri 3pm - 11pm (with a 1-hour lunch break). Second shift is eligible for a $1 / hour shift differential. Training will occur on your assigned shift. The busiest times are at the end of the month.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wheat Ridge, Colorado.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00 / hr.
