Adventure Tours, a rapidly expanding charter bus company headquartered in Accokeek, MD, is seeking a responsible and reliable Diesel Technician to join our Philadelphia, PA team. As a premier luxury motorcoach transportation company, that fosters a family-orientated environment, Adventure Tours is committed to continued growth and development.

We are currently looking for a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team. This position is part-time with flexible hours. In this role, the primary responsibilty will be servicing our fleet of motor coaches and mini-buses. We prioritize preventive maintenance and safety, and we offer excellent opportunities for career growth.

Position :

Salary :

  • 20 - $35 / HR based on experience

    • Requirements :

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the repair and maintenance of light and heavy diesel-fueled equipment, including mechanical components and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Experience in engine diagnostics and repairs.
  • Experience in general maintenance of diesel vehicles and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to complete repairs ranging from PM services to diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs.
  • Transmission and air conditioning experience is preferred.
  • Flexible schedule.
  • Previous experience with motor coaches and mini-buses is preferred but not required.
  • High school graduation or equivalent (GED), including the ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Must have your own hand tools.
  • CDL is a plus.
  • Training certifications are a plus.

    • Responsibilities :

  • Always exercise all safety procedures and precautions.
  • Complete and sign-off on driver pre-and post-trip inspection sheets.
  • Take direction from Lead Mechanic and Director of Maintenance and follow daily assigned tasks.
  • Provide minor driver training / instruction as needed.
  • Understand and execute quality repairs.
  • Communicate with maintenance and operations teams.
  • Learn new technologies as they pertain to equipment.

    • Schedule :

  • Part-time, flexible hours
  • Weekend availability

    • Ability to commute / relocate :

  • Reliable commuting or planning to relocate before starting work in Philadelphia, PA is required.

    • Experience :

  • Diesel engine repair : 1 year (Preferred)
  • Mechanical knowledge : 1 year (Preferred)

    • Work Location :

  • In-person at Philadelphia, PA
