Job descriptionMonitors scheduling and staffing to ensure daily PPD requirements are met Aids nursing staff as needed (includes admissions, medication passes, wound care, etc.) Participates in developing, updating and implementing department policies and procedures that govern the day-to-day functions of the nursing service department. Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)
Position Summary :
Assists and supports the Director of Nursing (DON) in planning, organizing, developing, and directing the day-to-day functions of the nursing department to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is always maintained.
Qualifications :
- Valid RN license, in good standing, current CPR and BLS certifications
- Minimum, two (2) years' experience as a supervisor in health care setting
- Minimum six (6) months experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices
- Outstanding communication (oral / written), organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency with PCC a plus
- Ability to multi-task and treat everyone at work kindly and professionally
- Works collaboratively and independently, following procedures and guidelines
- Completes tasks on time, reporting up on successes, challenges, and offering solutions
