Responsible for coordinating matters of mutual concern with government contacts including but not limited to scheduling, leave, and work quality.
Provides weekly customer service reports on the volume and handling of Tier 1, 2, and 3 customer requests to COR. Other duties may include reconciliation and analysis of various Standard General Ledger (SGL) accounts or sub accounts for the GSA and client agency funds. Accountant would be responsible for coordinating and analyzing certain processes under the control of the GSA. Provide professional accounting expertise and analysis for a variety of functions which may include the
following : Obligating, accruing, costing, and paying legally incurred and properly documented expenditures of funds and / or appropriations; monitoring, maintaining, and reconciling accounts, ledgers, and reports; preparing budgetary financial reports and financial statements in conformance with all government rules and regulations; reviewing and interpreting reports for operating or staff officials; identifying and analyzing problems as they arise with automated programs, systems, or
procedures; originating a variety of data entries to record transactions and make adjustments or corrections; ensuring the review of daily activity such as asset acquisitions, transfers, disposals, interfund transfers, and related financial actions (i.e., obligations, accruals, payments) are properly recorded. Meeting with program officials, or GSA associates to learn the details of varied and extensive work processes and procedures; preparing and reviewing test data for software applications
nd modifications; guiding and directing the installation, modification, maintenance, reconciliation, and analysis of general ledger, cash, appropriated funds, revolving funds, and property accounts within certain program areas to produce meaningful financial and management reports such as cash forecasts, cost reports, special ratio and cost computations, cost / inventory variance reports, performance analysis reports, and budgetary or proprietary financials; uses initiative in applying regulations, policies, procedures, and practices of the GSA and federal government. Assists in the composing, development, and continuous update of desk guides and procedures. Provides professional and timely customer service to a broad range of customers.
