Job description
A company is looking for a Coder, Provider Practice Urology / Anesthesia.
Key Responsibilities
Review medical documentation and assign appropriate codes (ICD-10, HCPCS, CPT) for diagnoses and procedures
Support coding compliance and assist with denial review and appeals management
Convey coding guidelines to medical professionals to enhance documentation accuracy
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
Associate degree in Health Information Technology or Certification in Coding required
Knowledge of diagnostic and procedural terminology, ICD, CPT, and HCPCS coding schemes preferred
Certification such as RHIA, RHIT, CPC, CPC-A, CCS, CCS-P, CCS-H, or COC required
Must obtain required certification within one year of hire if not already certified
