About the Role
As a Machine Programmer III, you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for developing and modifying NC programs for CNC mills, lathes, and multi-axis machines used in spaceflight systems. Your work will directly contribute to the success of first-article production of high-tolerance, high-value aerospace components.
This role requires a strong commitment to precision, safety, and innovation in support of repeatable and safe spaceflight.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop NC programs for CNC mills, lathes, multi-axis mills / lathes, and VTLs
- Create machining strategies from design data to finished hardware
- Design custom tools and fixtures as needed
- Generate and manage setup sheets
- Collaborate with engineers, manufacturing teams, and machinists
- Provide DFMA (Design for Manufacturing and Assembly) feedback
- Drive process improvements in machining and administrative workflows
- Conduct product acceptance per company policy
- Maintain configuration control of files and job records
- Operate safely in an industrial environment
