You will create detailed documentation and setup sheets, program CNC machines, prove out programs, and ensure that unique and non-standard parts are processed safely, accurately, and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, design, and document fixture setups and CNC programs for unique parts and weldments, ensuring they meet production and quality requirements.
  • Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs to achieve accurate, safe, and efficient machining parameters.
  • Prove out new and revised CNC programs on the shop floor, validating dimensional accuracy, cycle times, and process reliability.
  • Assess CNC programs for accuracy, safety, quality, and efficiency, making adjustments as needed to improve performance.
  • Perform routine inspections on CNC equipment to verify proper operation and identify potential issues early.
  • Assist with preventive maintenance activities, including lubrication, coolant monitoring, filter changes, and maintaining machine cleanliness.
  • Monitor machine performance during operation, identify abnormal conditions or potential failures, and promptly communicate necessary repairs to maintenance or engineering teams.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of program prove-outs, fixture setups, troubleshooting actions, maintenance tasks, and training activities.
  • Support process improvement initiatives by recommending and implementing changes that reduce recurring issues and optimize machine performance.
  • Collaborate with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to resolve machining and programming issues and to support continuous improvement.
  • Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to ensure correct part setup, tooling selection, and machining strategy.

Qualifications

  • Effective teamwork skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a production environment.

Ideal Qualifications
