Responsibilities :
Conduct detailed reviews of 3-4 government grants to ensure compliance with audit requirements.
Develop and implement improved processes for tracking spending and reporting on grant-related activities.
Analyze construction-related grants to identify and resolve issues, including prevailing wages and work order complications.
Collaborate with project sponsors, contracts teams, and project management teams to streamline grant administration.
Prepare and organize documentation for audits, including early audits and year-end financial reviews.
Address challenges related to cost collection, capitalization, and charge-offs to optimize grant management.
Provide recommendations for enhancing tracking systems and procedures to align with government standards.
Work onsite during the initial month to familiarize yourself with the organization and transition to a hybrid schedule thereafter.
Assist in resolving historical grant issues and ensuring timely submission of reports to relevant government entities.
Support the preparation for major deadlines, including audit submissions and compliance reporting.
Requirements :
Minimum of 2 years of experience in grant accounting or financial management.
Strong knowledge of federal government grants and associated compliance requirements.
Proficiency in software tools such as Excel and telecom NISC systems.
Familiarity with construction-related grants and processes, including engineering and bidding phases.
Ability to analyze financial data and provide actionable recommendations to improve tracking and reporting.
