Description
PETCARE HOSPITAL & WELLNESS CENTER
Associate Veterinarian
Full Time or Part Time | Bothell / Mill Creek, Washington
Monday Through Friday
The hospital is open Monday through Friday and closed Saturdays and Sundays — there is no rotating Saturday shift and no weekend rotation. We currently staff a 2:1 technician-to-DVM ratio, including on surgery days.
Petcare Hospital & Wellness Center has cared for cats and dogs in Snohomish County for over 25 years. We’re adding more than one veterinarian. Full-time is the default, but we’re genuinely open to part-time for the right person.
The Medicine
High-quality general practice for cats and dogs, with more depth than most:
- Dentistry — routine cleanings through full-mouth and surgical extractions and oral surgery. Two of our doctors have extensive dental CE, and other practices refer this work to us.
- Soft tissue surgery — everyday procedures through advanced cases including gastropexies and splenectomies.
- Diagnostics and treatment — in-house lab, radiography, ultrasound, and therapeutic laser we use regularly.
- Health certificates — national and international. We get local referrals for them, but they aren’t required of every doctor here.
If the advanced dentistry and surgery are things you want to learn rather than things you already do, we’re happy to teach and mentor. And if you arrive with an area of interest already — feline medicine, ultrasound, behavior, something else — we’d rather help you expand it than ask you to set it aside.
The Practice
Every veterinarian on staff is Fear Free certified — not one designated doctor, all of us — and appointments are paced to allow it. We have a feline-only treatment room, so cats aren’t drawn and treated beside barking dogs. Our technicians and client service team have been here for years, and clients ask for them by name. Many of those clients have been with us through generations of their pets. We also care for the Seattle Police Department K-9 unit — a small but welcome part of the caseload.
Bothell and Mill Creek sit twenty miles north of Seattle: established neighborhoods, strong schools, the Cascades and Puget Sound within an afternoon, and a cost of living well below the city.
