Job Summary :

SelectQuote is looking to hire Information Technology interns to join our App Dev organization as a Project Management intern for the summer of 2024. This position will offer the individual the opportunity to participate in the different aspects of the Project Management Office. The PM intern will apply their organizational & communication skills to a meaningful project that will bring value to the SQ organization and provide real world project management experience in an agile environment.

As a member of the SelectQuote IT Team, the IT Intern will have the opportunity to learn and apply an analytical problem-solving approach to a diverse set of business questions. The IT Intern will work directly with the Managers and members of the IT team, as well as other stakeholders who work with technology around Select Quote. This internship will prepare the candidate for future work in the field of IT by equipping them to leverage a variety of tools and techniques to answer business questions.

Responsibilities & Rotations :

• Coordinates project management activities and information
• Breaks projects into doable actions and sets timeframes
• Identifies and defines requirements, scope and objectives
• Assigns tasks to internal teams and assist with schedule management
• Monitors project progress and handles any issues that arise
• Acts as the point of contact and communicates project status to all participants
• Works with the Project Manager to eliminate blockers
• Creates and maintains comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports
• Ensures standards and requirements are met through ensuring quality assurance tests are conducted
